| The aim of my site is to attract lovers of the English sonnet, in the hope that it may contribute to a revival of sonnet-writing in general. For the sonnet, with its dialectic and its strain of content against form, has rightly been described as the shape of human thought. It also symbolizes the ever-increasing need for humanity to discover and express infinite variety within fixed limits. In short it represents sustainability. |
