How ironic and poetically just
That the blatant ethnic-cleansing
And brutal pogroms
Perpetrated by our fascist Government
And supremacist settlers
Against the Palestinian people,
Together with the rejection
Of the “two-state solution”,
Could be the very means
By which a bi-national state
May eventually be born.
For, though these Israeli thugs
Are too pig-headed to know it,
They are helping Palestinians acquire
In only a few years
The high level of consciousness
Attained by many European Jews,
Due to centuries of cruel oppression
And persecution.
It’s not impossible,
Therefore,
That in the not too distant future
The majority of benevolent,
Conscientious Israelis
And Palestinians
Will at last realize
They have more in common
With each other
Than with their corrupt,
Sadistic, anti-democratic leaders
And brainwashed kinsmen.
Then the archetypal images
Of Jacob and Esau,
Which have long lain dormant
In the collective unconscious
Of both peoples,
Could finally arise,
Unite,
Awaken the masses
And lead these heirs of Abraham
To Palistrael.
