If Israel were led not by callous men
But women whose priority is peace,
Inclusiveness and fairness would flourish then
And the fell Occupation at last would cease.
Moreover, global warming would be heeded
And refugees from Africa treated well;
Teenagers given the love and empathy needed
To counteract this patriarchal hell.
“A foolish dream!” I hear our rulers bawl;
“The Middle East is run by men like us.
If women governed Israel, it would fall –
Sparking an inverse and tragic exodus”.
So women unite and prove these sexists wrong;
You will move hard hearts if your light is strong.
