Michael Peach

If Will had sought to eat and have his cake
Beyond the years of ill-bred, greedy youth,
He never would have chosen thence to make
His art, through dialectic, show the truth
That well-wrought egos should determine right
When dealing with the psyche’s dark Sheol,
Where dual, archetypal forces fight
Their other side for mastery of the soul.
Indeed, no term could better sum him up
Than bardic Lancelot or Percivale –
For learned he one must drain a brittle cup
To gain the ever-filling Holy Grail.
++So let us give this thoughtful man his due:
++He drank the wine of life and stored it too.
