The time has come when we must know
That God resides within each one,
And no amount of artful show
Can hide the actions we have done.
For me this is the very core
Of classic Jewish prophecy;
If grasped, it opens up the door
And helps the honest mind to see
That formal faiths are simply maps,
Reflecting paths by others laid,
And he who follows blindly traps
Himself for ever in the shade.
